Maciek Rupar

Technical Services Director of NRCA

Maciek Rupar, Technical Services Director, National Roofing Contractors Association, joined the NRCA staff in January 2008. At NRCA, he is responsible for maintaining and developing technical documents, staff liaison duties for NRCA technical committees, and responding to requests for technical assistance. Maciek joined ASTM Committee D08 on Roofing and Waterproofing in 2008 and serves as the membership secretary and co-chair for subcommittee D08.04 on Felts, Fabrics and Bituminous Sheet Materials. He has authored articles published in NRCA’s Professional Roofing magazine and ASTM Selected Technical Papers. Before joining NRCA he held technical positions with two asphalt shingle manufacturers. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in materials science and engineering from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.

Gourish Sirdeshpande Ph.D is a Senior Scientist at STR Resource & Associates with over 35 years of experience in Research & Development. His interests are in Heat and Mass transfer modelling, Composite Materials, Building Energy, Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ), Building Science, and Sustainability. Through his R&D experience and theoretical analysis, he brings out the practical consequences of material behaviour as it interacts with its surroundings. He is the author of many publications in peer reviewed journals and has presented at several International Conferences. He is also the author of several patents & and trade secrets.

He is the Vice-Chair of ASTM D22-05 on Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and a member of US delegation for ISO TC146-SC6 on Indoor Air Quality. He is member of ASHRAE, ISIAQ, ASTM and AIChE.

Jody Usry is a Roofing & Waterproofing expert. His company, Edifice Consulting Inc., is an independent consulting firm, with no financial ties to any manufacturer, supplier or
contractor. Jody has assessed, specified, and managed the quality control on more than 500 major roofing and waterproofing projects, covering millions of square feet. He has also completed a large number of remedial repair, and preventive maintenance projects with excellent customer satisfaction.

Education: BBA Georgia Southern University in 1983, has completed numerous training programs in the area of roofing waterproofing since 1991, and is a member in good standing of Roofing Consultants Institute, and the National Roofing Contractors Association.

David Paddison, CPCU, AFSB, AAI serves as President of Sterling Seacrest Pritchard and has proven expertise in risk management and insurance plan design for major contractors, national retailers and large property management firms in every region of the United States. He holds a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.

A native of Savannah, David has been active in the local insurance and business community for more than 30 years. An advocate of community involvement and civic participation, David has always encouraged his team to give back to the community through their participation and support of non-profit organizations. David was recognized by Junior Achievement as an inductee into the Savannah Business Hall of Fame. He is a graduate of Leadership Savannah and has held numerous leadership positions on several boards including:

Wally Behrendt – Bio

After moving to Florida from Ohio in 1994, Wally attended Pinellas Technical College where he studied drafting and then went on to finish his education, graduating from St. Petersburg College’s Building Construction Technology Program.

While still in college, Wally worked for three years at Fraser Residential Design. Soon after, Wally accepted a new position as Draftsman for Pro-Crete Systems, Inc, later to be called Pro-Crete Systems of Florida, LLC. Within one year, Wally was promoted to Estimator/Project Manager, a position that he held for 22 years. In 2021, Mr. Behrendt accepted a position with Sutter Roofing as the Lightweight Insulating Concrete Manager for their new LWIC Division, a position that he still holds today.

Wally is the current Florida Roof Deck Association (FRDA) President and Commander of the USCG Auxiliary Flotilla 78 – St. Pete Beach.
